Adult Psychological Testing Online
Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder & Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessment
What Are the Benefits of Online Assessment?
There are many benefits of online assessment. Below, we walk through three of the main advantages of choosing online assessment:
- Convenience – for many people, especially busy adults, it’s much more convenient to go through the assessment process online. Rather than commuting back and forth to an assessment office and taking days off work, you can complete the process in the comfort of your own home, and your psychologist usually has greater flexibility in the hours you can complete the process. That means it’s easier to fit your assessments into your daily routine.
- Comfort – for many people who struggle with ADHD and ASD, coming into a strange office for assessment can actually make the process more difficult. All the sensory input can be difficult to manage and detract from the ability to complete various tests. Completing assessment at home where you are most comfortable may actually improve the results.
- Comprehensive testing – because there is a lot of preparation prior to the appointment, there is more time to complete the assessments and you aren’t simply visiting on one day to complete tests, the assessment battery can be more comprehensive. If we have additional questions after you complete assessments, we can provide additional tests to ensure we have the answers we need to provide a complete and accurate diagnosis.

Who Can Receive Online Testing?
Because testing is done online and requires a little more focus and the ability to work with technology, it is only an appropriate option for adults. We welcome everyone to our practice, including offering LGBTQIA+ and gender affirming care. The OAT team is happy to provide online ADHD and ASD assessments for adults ages 18 and up. In the past, we were only able to provide assessments in states where our assessment psychologists were specifically licensed. Due to the increased need for assessments, an interstate agreement was made called PsyPact, which allowed assessment professionals to work across state lines for residents of states that participate in PsyPact. Clients need to be located in one of the participating states listed below throughout their assessments:

How Much Does Online Testing Cost?
Cost is an important factor to consider when scheduling any medical treatments, including psychological assessments. At OAT, we’re committed to providing accurate pricing and avoiding surprise costs. In fact, we believe that offering an accurate good faith estimate of the cost of your treatment is an essential aspect of what we do. The definition of a good faith estimate is that it should provide you with an accurate cost of treatment prior to beginning service. If the estimated cost increases more than $400 and you don’t agree to that change in pricing, you can dispute your bill.
Due to the nature of our online testing services, almost all ASD and ADHD assessments at OAT cost $2,000 from start to finish. If your specific needs fall outside this typical range, we will do our utmost to inform you before we begin treatment. We do not take insurance.
We accept payment in the form of credit and debit cards. While we do not work with insurance, you are welcome to utilize supplemental spending accounts like funds from flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health saving accounts (HSA) with our team if approved by your insurer. You can learn more about this payment option by talking to your insurance provider.
